I sourced in addition to sourced thrift shops, local ReStores in addition to antique markets for the perfect slice in addition to every fourth dimension came upwards empty handed.. until 1 twenty-four hr catamenia I started talking to a local Antique store possessor close what I wanted in addition to she said she didn't accept whatsoever Vintage bars inward stock, but she did accept a erstwhile isle that was the approx. size I needed but it would require Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 LOT of work!! She wanted to larn rid of it hence she sold it to us for exclusively $25!!! I was inward heaven!! Next came the design.. I wanted barn forest but usable! SO nosotros decided to plank the base of operations of the bar inward a barn door vogue in addition to add together a galvanized top.. Easy right?? Not quite.. See How nosotros made our custom Rustic bar below..
First affair my hubby did was construct an extended base of operations to practise added peak to larn inward the proper bar peak nosotros needed.
I believe our bar was 1 time this!! Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 Ikea Varde Base Cabinet! Not bad for $25! ;)
The earlier was inward stone oil shape but the sizing was dandy in addition to the drawers slid perfectly..

We chose to stain the Natural Cedar Planks inward Minwax Classic Gray

Then of course of written report came trying to figure out a suitable counter top.. I refused to wreck the hold off alongside laminate.. And I couldn't afford granite or marble.. I loved the sentiment of forest but I wanted to live able to laid upwards clean it in addition to non worry if drinks spilled... SO nosotros contacted our local Sheet metallic store in addition to gave them the dimensions in addition to for nether $80 they were able to practise a custom galvanized metallic counter top!! 
I only dearest the agency the counter turned out!
We in addition to hence added three inch Casters for extra peak in addition to the added option to movement it around when nosotros accept people over..
We added forest fronts to all the drawers to check alongside the balance of the bar.
Then nosotros added Large half dozen inch Oil rubbed bronze Gilmore pulls from Restoration Hardware
